Hi! I'm Nicole Angamarca, an Ecuadorian-American illustrator based in Queens, New York. I love using realism and maximalism to narrate stories. Color and complex composition are my main focus. The distortion of the human body and the freedom of a loose pen are some of the joys in my work.
I studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology and received my Associate of Applied Science (AAS) and Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in illustration. My piece "The Devil Uma Mask" (149/152) was an award winner at the Metropolitan Museum of Art P.S. Art 2021 Student Showcase.
My piece "CHUZALONGO" has been selected to raise funds for Heart to Heart Empowerment, whose goals are to support low-income families to afford school supplies and more!
